PhD in Groundwater Management; M.Sc. in Irrigation and Water Management; B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering (Hons). Over 35 years of experience in the field of irrigation and water management, developed and disseminated water saving technologies for rice irrigation, drainage, construction and supervision of farm building, road, bridge, prepared different research projects and plans and implemented in the field for increasing food production in Bangladesh. Out of which 5 years’ experience as a Head of Irrigation and Water Management Division of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute and performed administrative and technical supervision of divisional research activities and staff.

Experienced working in multi-organizational and interdisciplinary team. Experienced in installation of DTW/STW and their construction details. Worked as the Chairman of Estimation Evaluation Committee for all construction work of BRRI.  Work experience in agricultural/irrigation water management project, funded by government of Bangladesh and development partners like World Bank, Asian Development Bank, FAO, USAID and others. Experienced as Principal Investigator of more than seven research projects having increased food production target in Bangladesh. Experienced in managing financial accounts and expenditure documents of different project activities as per government rules.

Capable to lead formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of irrigation and water management projects. Performed as an expert member of irrigation water management in many workshops, arranged by different government organizations in Bangladesh. Experienced in providing policy advisory support services and engage with high ranking government officials, international development organizations and donor’s community. Proven capacity in preparing training module and conduct training of water users, pump drivers, field level officers and farmers on efficient water use for crop production.
