Translator (4 Experts)

Tasks of the Translator:

• Translate all finalized English-language CBLMs and learning materials into accurate and contextually appropriate Bangla
• Ensure correct and consistent use of technical terminology
• Translate Session Plans, Trainee Record Books, Competency Skills Logbooks, and Progress Charts
• Collaborate with proofreaders and content developers to resolve technical translation challenges
• Work closely with CBLM development team to ensure accurate use of language and technical terms
• Revise translations based on stakeholder feedback, NSDA and GIZ

Qualifications of the Translator:

• Education/training: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Professional translation training or certification is an asset.
• Language: English (C1, CEFR), Bangla.
• General professional experience): At least 3 years’ professional experience in translating technical documents or training materials.
• Specific professional experience: 2 years’ Experience in translating materials related to RE, EE, or engineering training; familiarity with CBT&A is essential
• Regional experience: Minimum 3 years in Bangladesh or South Asia Development Cooperation (DC) experience: 1 year Experience with international development or donor-funded
• Other: Experience with TVET projects is preferred

Proofreader (4 Experts)

Tasks of the Proofreader:

• Proofread all English and Bangla versions of CBLMs and supplementary learning materials
• Correct grammar, syntax, terminology, and structure in both languages
• Ensure consistency of technical terms across units and materials
• Eliminate ambiguity and gender-biased language
• Work closely with translators and instructional designers and CBLM development to ensure linguistic coherence and user-friendly presentation

Qualifications of Proofreader

• Education/training: Bachelor’s in Bangla or English.
• Language: English (C1, CEFR), Bangla.
• General professional experience: At least 3 years’ experience in proofreading or technical editing of educational/training materials
• Specific professional experience: Experience with Competency-Based Training (CBT&A) curriculum, TVET related publications
• Regional experience: 3 years in Bangladesh or South Asia
• Development Cooperation (DC) experience: 2 years working on skills development programs under donor-funded projects

Graphic Designer (1 Expert)

Tasks of the Graphic Designer:

• Design and format all learning materials in both English and Bangla for print and digital use
• Create illustrations, diagrams, icons, and templates in alignment with NSDA and GIZ standards
• Ensure visual consistency and accessibility across all materials
• Provide editable source files and high-resolution formats
• Work closely with instructional designers, translators, and the CBLM development team
• Incorporate revisions based on NSDA and GIZ feedback

Qualifications of Graphic Design and Layout Expert

• Education/training: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Language: English (C1, CEFR), Bangla.
• General professional experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in document layout, illustration, or publication design
• Specific professional experience: 3 years’ Experience with education/training materials, preferably in technical fields; mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and design tools
• Regional experience: Minimum 3 years in Bangladesh or South Asia
• Development Cooperation (DC) experience): Experience designing materials for donor-funded education or energy sector projects is a strong asset

Micro-finance  Specialist (1 Expert)

Qualifications:

PhD in Finance or MBA major in Finance  having 10 to 15 years experience with at least three impact evaluation studies under donor funded development projects.

Environment  Specialist (1 Expert)

Qualifications:

PhD in Environment/Climate Change/Agriculture  having 10 to 15 years experience with at least three impact evaluation studies under donor funded development projects.

GIS Specialist (1 Expert)

Qualifications:

Masters in GIS  having 10 to 15 years experience with at least three impact evaluation studies under donor funded development projects.
