International M&E Specialist & Training and Capacity Building Specialist and Adviser of the Company
David is very well recognized in international development with 36 years’ experience in much of Africa, Asia, South Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. This has involved working as Project Director, Team Leader, Consultant and Trainer in 30 countries for many of the UN agencies, World Bank, EU, ADB, FAO, numerous bilateral donors, including DFID, SDC, GTZ, DFAT, and many national and international NGOs, numerous National Governments and large corporations.
David has significant experience as Project M&E and Strategic Planning specialist and has undertaken numerous assignments. His current focus is working as an independent adviser. This has included developing major M&E systems and directing major evaluation studies.
As a facilitator and trainer, David has developed skills and knowledge in for individuals from 124 countries as a result of being a lead trainer and Director of over 100 international courses organised by IMA and after in his role at Impact and GRM. This included courses in all areas of Project Management and Project M&E.
David started his career at DFID and then been an MD and Director of three consultancy groups and recently retired from GRM Futures (now The Palladium Group) a development consultancy with over 2100 staff. Being both a Consultant, Trainer and Director ensures that he fully appreciates and understands all aspects of international development and M&E.
