Agricultural Research and Management Specialist and Highly Experienced Agronomist

 

PhD in Agronomy and has more than 30 years working experience with expatriate scientists and in multi-cultural environments in Bangladesh, India, Philippines, Australia, and Mexico. Have closely worked with the scientists of Australia, USA, UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Canada, Philippines, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Iran, Japan, Nepal, Mexico and Germany.

He has work experience for conducting evaluation studies such as in-depth monitoring, impact assessment, feasibility study, climate adaptation agriculture, climate-smart and sustainable agriculture and agro-ecology, small holder’s livelihoods, food security and IGA activities. Worked with government and donor organization and development projects. Has strong analytical and report writing skills both English and Bangla. He has good understanding for conducting FGD, KII and consultative meetings with village community, agricultural extension workers and researchers, scientists and policy makers. Scientist in the On-Farm Research Division (OFRD) of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). As a head quarter scientist (Principal Scientific Officer) of BARI I was involved in planning, designing, analyzing, supervising, coordinating and evaluating research and related development activities for the whole country with multidisciplinary team. 
 
He has worked as Researcher, Team Leader, Principal Investigator, Agronomist, Climate Change Specialist, Crops Specialist in government and donor funded projects like IMED, ACIAR, CGIAR, CIAT, CIMMYT, CODEC, DANIDA, DFID, EU, FAO, ICRISAT, iDE, IFAD, IFPRI, Inter-cooperation, IRRI, IWMI, JIBC, SCI, SDC, USAID, WLE, World Fish.

He has 34 articles in the national and renowned international journals.
